Jane is our utility dental assistant. She has over twenty years experience in dentistry; she is a happily married grandmother.
Dr. Mike Starkey has been in general dentistry practice since 1981.
He is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and he is the only dentist in Nebraska certified by the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology as Master in the College of Conscious Sedation.
He has provided over 3,000 parental (IV) sedation visits safely since 1985. He was the fourth dentist in the State of Nebraska to get the parenteral anesthesia permit. Doctor is also licensed to practice in Colorado.
Dr. Starkey is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has placed hundreds of dental implants along with restoring them since 1999. He is working toward his associate fellowship in the AAID.
Note- I studied Engineering at the University of Wyoming and earned a Bachelors Degree from the Chemical/Petroleum Engineering Department. I worked as a production engineer for a great company which at the time was called Amerada Hess in the mid continent area of the U.S. I appreciated the opportunity to work for them. To me petroleum engineering was interesting because it dealt with Geology and man's ability to create wealth for everyone by learning to exploit what was once a useless annoying fluid that was so plentiful it oozed from the ground to the extent that in Venezuela oil seeps formed a good size lake of oil. The thing is I have a knack for manual labor on a really small scale; I did not have the knack of Dilbert and I am blessed to have the opportunity to do dentistry. It is like being a practical artist and engineer all in one wonderful life.
Dr. Starkey's interests are teeth of all kinds, geology, and playing electric guitar (head phones only no amps).
Melissa our implant coordinator and Sedation Monitoring Tech.
Melissa has over 15 years of experience in dental implants and anesthesia.
She has been with Dr. Starkey's Dental Team since 2006
Melissa is married and has one teenage daughter- Kamryn the joy of her life.
